    I just bought a Liteon 5115 DVD recorder and burned my first DVD (16x write speed DVD-R) from a VCR hooked up over the Component video hookups. My problem is that when I play the newly burned DVD in my Toshiba SD-v392SUA DVD player it plays fine until I fast forward. After coming back to "play" there is no sound. HELP!

    Sorry my actual post disappeared. I have had similar trouble with -R discs but resolved the problem by switching to +R discs. I've had the same pattern with RW, as well.

    Do you have the same burner and player?? Did the sound only go away when you did fast forward? With mine, the sound will come back after you turn the DVD player off and back on. Thanks in advance for your reply
