I seen some DVD Players for Sale ,That State they Play XVID.
Now I havent really looked into the XVID origin. But the thing I always hear is that it was a "Hack" of DIVX. Is this true?
I see XVID falls under (GPL).
So is it Legal for them (Stores) to advertise that a certain DVD Player Plays it?
I know that DIVX Is a licensed "Codec" "Software" Company, and May have arrangements with the Companys that advertise the (Divx) Name.
