Converting media to high quality 3gp format

ive recently got a new samsung d600 mobile fone. and for research i found it can only play 3gp format videos. when i convert my media into this format it is v poor quality. I know you convert into a 352X 288 resolution., is there any programs tthat can convert media (avi,mpeg,mpeg4 ) into high quality 3gp?

Note . i found that the the video on the fone is of high quality ,hence it is possible to make high quality 3gp.
Note space is not a issue as i have memory card 512.

Note- i think it is to do with the quality . if there was a 3gp converter that the user can change the KB/S up to high then that cud solve problem.. thanjks
