I got this AVI file that I want to burn to a DVD. I loaded it in DVD Movie Factory to let it autoconvert, but it blows it up to like 9 gigs or something. So I tried to put it in TMPEGEnc and encode but it was gonna take like 42 hours (dont know why) so I wanted to use EO Video and everytime I click convert, it shows an ActiveMovie Window and then stops the process. How can I stop that EO Video problem from happening and how can I encode this?

Drop the AVI file into Gspot and check the audio for MP3 VBR audio. It can cause problems with encoders. I usually save out the audio as a WAV file with VirtualDub in that case, then use that audio for encoding.
AC3 audio can cause problems too, but if you are going to author the MPEG-2 to DVD, combine it back in during the authoring stage.
One guide here. http://members.dodo.net.au/~jimmalenko/ExtractAudio.htm -
TMPGEnc is the encoder for VCD but: Don't set motion search precision to slowest - drop it one or 2 steps, and don't use any filters in TMPGEnc - i really slows TMPGEnc down alot. Also, your box is by todays standards a tad on the slow side...
