3 part question:
1. Opinions on which is a better 'software' player for viewing mpeg2 on computer monitor...Nvidia purevidio decoder (playing with windows media player) OR PowerDVD/WinDVD?
2. Same question as 1, except will be playing from HTPC with DVI connection to Projection HDTV monitor.
3. Set top box pregressive scan dvd player hooked up component to HDTV Monitor VS. HTPC w/ DVI out to HDTV Monitor...which software should I use and can ANY software look as good as the set top dvd player (assuming it's a decent player - JVC)? My concern is won't the software still de-interlace the mpeg2 for viewing on a computer monitor, even though it's being displayed on a TV? (this would be a bad thing no?)
