hi there,
i've been looking at the index so that i guess this is the right forum to ask...
i want to output video+audio from computer to tv. i've already tried wireless devices and there are always interferences to a higher or lesser degree.
now, i need the 20 meter cable (that is 65.62 feet). do you think such a long cable could turn into image quality loss? is is safer scart than svhs+audio? i can purchase both so i just don't know which one is better? my tv can input scart as well as svhs, that'd be no problem.
thank you for your attention,

Being I am in the US, I'm not really familiar with scart connections, but S-video will give you better quality than composite, which is probably what you get from the scart.
That's quite a distance to run a video cable, make sure you get a decent quality cable. -
hi,
thanks for your piece of advice. i'll take it into account. i understand from your writing that cable quality can have a influence of image quality...
regards, -
Cable length could have an influence. Any decent brand would likely work alright. I looked around the net and I see 100 foot S-video cables are fairly common, so it may not be a problem. I use a 25 foot S-video cable from my laptop to my projector and haven't noticed any quality loss. Just stick to an established brand. Not 'Monster' cables unless you want to pay a fortune for just a piece of wire.
