  4. If you open a quicktime movie, it's usually auto-saved in your temp internet files folder. Do a find (*.mov)in the folder. You may also try right-clicking the link...save target as....

  7. Hmmm...somehow I don't think either Morpheus or Kazaa will have the full movie of Star Wars Ep II availiable just yet. Spiderman either. I tried to get ep 2 myself but for some reason it WASN'T in my temp folder and my option to save wasn't there. (I got spidey when Fox played it during Temptation Island).
But he's right, MOVs usually DO suck. I guess the "powers that be" made quicktime to screw us friendly mpg makers

  8. I would just like 2 point out the fact that Quicktime Video is one of the best if not the best looking online compressed streaming video type there is. The Videos I have seen look SVCD quality at half the file size. How can u peepz say .mov is horrible?

  9. i'm inclined to agree with chris x. quicktime can look very good, and with small file size. i too love movie trailers, and as everyone who does knows, they're all in quicktime. but i have the same problem.

the new trailers being released don't allow you to save them. they're never stored in your computer's cache [temp internet files]. they don't leave the direct file link open. even when you right click the page, select 'view source' and search for .mov. what comes up is only a quicktime link to an actual url that is unknown. i think you actually have to upgrade to quicktime pro for $30 [then you'll get the .

it's something i've been considering, but something i need when downloading a 20 or 30mb file is the ability to pause and resume. a luxury of being able to download directly from the official link with a program like http://www.mygetright.com

if anyone has some advise to get around these obstacles please let us know.
