    Hi!

I do a lot of SVCD/VCD/DVD burning. Most of the time I use VERBATIM rewritable media for DVD-RWs and CD-RWs but I do also use TDK. All media bought from authorised places so no fakes or anything. Recently I've been getting really tired of my media not playing properly in my Pioneer 444 standalone. It's over a year old now this standalone. Most of the media I use now is four and six speed DVD-RW and in the case of CD-RWs it's 24 speed. I keep extremely good care of media. No scratches, dust etc. Yet despite all precautions jumpy, skippy movies is what I'm getting. DVD burner is brand new pioneer 110 and cd-writer is Plextor premium only used occasionally for cd burning. I plan to upgrade my Pioneer standalone soon to a newer model. I'm hoping it will be more compatible with newer media.

Any ideas as to what could be my problem here? suggestions please!

Now for the strange question. Are there any hard drive based players out there. Anything I can 'transfer' my ISO VCDs/DVDs or structures to and play them off it. Please no TVout from my graphics card suggestions. I'm not a big fan of that. What are these media centre pcs and would they be able to play 'structures/ISOs'?

    Thanks in advance!
