I got my first DVD ripped (Sefy method), however the resulting MPEG file when played on the PC is a little too dark.
Can someone tell me why this happens and how to correct it.
Thank you

This may simply be due to the gamma of your monitor being set incorrectly. If you have Adobe Photoshop, there is a tool included that will correctly set the gamma for your monitor.
There is probably nothing wrong with the colour/tone of your MPEG. Try burning it as a VCD and compare it to the original DVD on your TV.

By the way, I found the answer on this forum (it's truely a GREAT ONE). It only looks dark on the computer monitor, not on the TV screen.
I will verify this after burning a VCD with it.
Thanks vitualis, you have helped me many many times. Your answer posted here is the same one I read in a different thread.
(next day)
I verified on the TV, it looks great.
