    Hi,

I've had this weird intermittent problem before - almost permanent when I was using my RX600 to capture video.

I've invested in a Canopus ADVC55 and a Panasonic SVHS player.

IT worked brilliantly for a few weeks but suddenly I've got the jerky picture thing happening again; in preview mood with or without the HD working; with all services apart from a handful shut down.

It just immediately goes jumpy. And it was FINE for weeks.

The CPU is not showing load. The graphics card is very capable. Ít's a P4 3.4GHz so I have no idea what's cooking.

    Grateful for any tips.

    Tks.

If your previewing a file from HD it is reading from the drive.

    Possibly a fragmented drive?

No - am previewing straight from Canopus not from the drive. I haven't pressed record and it's jumping.

Also have defragged my Raid 0 drive.

    Tks.

Go to start>run and type dxdiag That's for DirectX, it will help diagnose/solve any problems if that is the issue

Have you tried other capture programs?
