  1. Please help if you can.

I have burned a few old TV shows onto DVD on my laptop (presario x1000). When I play on dvd player on my tv, the vidio lags and cannot keep up with the sound. The lag time gets progressivly worse as playtime goes on. It is the same when played on my laptop.
Funny thing, one out of the four shows plays fine...
    Hope someone can offer advice.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Off hand I would say that there is something wrong in your method. What that might be is hard to say with the lack of information provided. "Burned" is a pretty vague description.

  3. zippy, thanks for the reply. By "burned" I mean stuck a dvd into my laptop and recorded a tv show that I had downloaded. ! am using Sonic MyDVD. I am not quite sure what method I should be using as I am new to this. I figured it should be pretty cut and dry with the softaware, really not to many options to worry about.
I also have Nero but have had bad luck in the past..

Files from the net range in quality from bad to terrible so that is likely the source of your problem. I'm not familiar with Mydvd but it does not have a very good reputation. What format is your source avi, mpeg or ??? I can refer you to some good guides that will help you make a DVD, like this one: http://members.dodo.com.au/~jimmalenko/AVI2DVD.htm
