Hello, I need some help on how I'd go about coding a program to capture and write/encode to an avi with either the Huffy UV or mjpeg codecs. I do not want to use windows "CRAM" codec. Any help is greatly appreciated even if it's just a point in the right direction. Thanks.

The most siplme way it to use DirectShow architecture.
Have a look at any capture DIrectXSdk samples, it seems to me almost all ones can perform task you mentioned.my AVI Trimming guide
