What mp3 encoder do you use?.

As there are so many mp3 encoders out there, can some of you guys/girls tell me what you use and give me an opinion on its speed and quality.

i use dbpoweramp http://www.dbpoweramp.com which uses both lame and blade encoders. not only does this software have great cd ripping capabilities though, it also lets you make an mp3 out of any wav file, simply by right clicking on it, and selecting convert to-> mp3
it also works with windoze media codecs aswell, though they are a seperate dld

IMHO, LAME VBR MP3 is the best quality audio encoding.

I use Audiocatalyst from Xing-tech.

Also use Winamp to convert stubborn mp3's back into wav's

I use CD-EX (http://www.cdex.n3.net). It supports lots of plugins (Toolame etc...), rips CDs, accesses CDDB, converts from WAV to .MP3 and vice versa, and best of all, its free.

I think the dBPower... thing is the best. That is what I use. It's useful when you have a MP3 Player, so you can change the bitrate of the song and lowere the memory...

To burn Mucid CD's I use MP3 TO WAV CONVERTER. I thought it was the best for MP3 TO WAV, but one day, when I was surfing on the site, I SAW IT!!!! MP3 TO WAV CONVERTER THE NEWER VERSION!!!!!
