I have been having a lot of problems with my burning lately and everyone seemed to think it was a media problem and suggested buying Taiyo Yudens so I bought 100 dvd-r TYGO2 disks. Am still having problems burning them. I have a sony dw d56a drive which is just a rebadged liteon sosw 852S in my dell inspiron 6000. There are a lot of freezes and pauses in the few disks i have copied so far. If anyone has had success with these disks on either of these drives and can help please post. I think i might have to crossflash firmware nut am not sure which firmware to use. i currently have the latest dell sanctioned firmware PDS7. Also I am pretty close to just giving up and replacing my drive so if anyone has a slimline drive drive that works great with these disks please let me know.

My BenQ 1620Pro has troubles with TY -R discs. They are rated at 8x but the BenQ needs to burn them at 4x in order for the burn to complete. BenQ's are notoriously +R loving burners...and I have found that out personally...maybe yours is the same.

The fastest they will burn on my comp is 6X. Im gonna try to burn much slower and see how that works.

Trued burning at 2x and got an error about 1 minute into the burn. Here is the burn error.
