I used a free tool last month to do this (file was S-mpeg 4) and it took very fast (original file was 400 MB and it took only a few minutes). I forgot what the tool was and where I got it. I deleted it from my PC. It wasn't that complicated to use. Can someone help me out?

Freeware ones are at the top.
    If in doubt, Google it.

Don't believe windows media encoder plays nice with mpeg4.

Convert to mpeg2 (cross your fingers. Works for some.) or convert to avi and then use windows media encoder.

    Or try this:

    http://www.viscomsoft.com/products/mybatchconverter/

It handled mpeg2 to wmv for me when nothing else would.
