  1. I dont really know how to word this ? well here goes I have placed 2 movies on a dvd and using dvd author plus made chapters for both movies etc. movies play fine in home dvd player and chapters work ok. but what i want dvd to do when its inserted in home player is go straight to menus and chapters i made. instead of just playing dvd movies straight away the only way i get to the menu is only in play mode. but like i said i want to see chapters etc before move starts to play so then i can pick what chapter. hope all this makes sense, as I have done home movies for my gran and she wont know how to get to chapters and menu etc

You simply did not tell the authoring program to do that. Your fisrt play option is probably set for the movies and not the menus. What authoring program did you use. You stated dvd author. Did you mean TDA? There are several setting in the menu Options tab for setting up the order of what plays first.

Look at step 7 of the recent guide posted. Click on Menu Display settings and set to your required action. You will also see 'First Play Action' slightly to the left of that. You could have the main menu there and then the action to take after each track is to return to the main menu (select that within menu display settings).

There's the pre-loaded templates, or you can choose custom and make your own.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  7. Yes you can customize it, but you are very limited. I wish it had a menu system like DVDWS2.
