Hi gang
There are so many different forums here, so I am sort of guessing as to this being the right one for this subject. I am sure I will be told where to go if it isent......![]()
Problem burning captured programs from A Tivo. The program I am using does it and winds up with TY files. Since I cannot view it, (Windows Media don't use these kind of files) and I cannot burn them with Nero, (it does not like these kind of files either) Can I change them or change the Media player and Nero to be able to use these kind of files.???? I know there are probably more info needed to answer this, so just ask me and I will pass on the needed information. Any help will be appreciated.
Take care..........Gunny

TY files are just MPEG-2 multiplexed in a weird way. You can (sometimes) play them directly with MPlayer, or VLC. Otherwise, you need to edit and convert them with Tivo-specific tools. Check out http://dealdatabase.com/forum for details.
