proof/sheet thumbnails of video file?

What program can I use to generate a proof sheet like file (jpg/gif/png) that cantains certian video frames? Thanks

Do you want every nth frame, or do you have certain frames you specifically want ?

Virtualdub or avisynth can be used to generate still images from a video, but work best if you want, for example, every 5 th frame.

If you want specific frame then you can use virtualdub to just grab the frames you want, manually, then use a freeware thumbnail page generator to do the rest. There are quite a few options here
