Can someone who owns one of these comment on its performance? How does it compare to other VCRs for VHS and SVHS playback for video capture?

I would say it's a good machine for specialty needs, but it's NOT an alternative to the high end S-VHS units. The S-VHS units perform better for general needs.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

I have a the DH40k, as well.. Unfortunately, I've not done anything with it, except for playback of D-Theater selections.. sorry, I'm in the same boat. Was planning to sell it but I plan on using it as a source to xfr home movies and laserdiscs to DVD (Panasonic DMR-E20).
