  1. I've suddenly develpoed a weird problem with DVD2AVI. When I decode a vob file, the audio only plays through the right channel, even though under properties it is stereo.

    I've tried playing some old wav files decoded using DVD2AVI and they work fine (and they were from the same vob...).

    The only thing I can think is that its something to do with upgrading to 1.76, however I've tried using 1.74 and still get the same problem...

    Can anyone help?

  2. Anyone have any ideas on this? I'm at a complete loss.

    I'm not really sure how DVD2AVI does what it does, so its hard to track down the problem.

    dvd2avi audio tab-> dolby digital-> decode (not demux), try dolby surround downmix too.

  4. I've tried playing with the various settings, but with no luck. It seems whatever I do I can only get the audio through one channel.

    Maybe there went something wrong with the rip. Which DVD ripper do you use. Did you select audio stream processing or something like that?
    did you connect the 2nd speaker?

  6. I dont think its a problem with the rip, because its actually the same vob file that I used before without having this problem.

    Its not a speaker problem either, I can play the original vob and it comes out in stereo (thru both speakers), its only the wav that DVD2AVI produces which plays through one speaker.

    As far as I can tell it has to be a problem with the way DVD2AVI is decoding the audio.

    try the following settings for dvd2avi under audio:

    channel format->auto select

    dolby digital->decode

    MPEG audio->demux
