You don't need to 'join' them, just hit 'add file' twice and they will both be set to play like a single file. Or are you talking about joining already authored files, with VOBs, etc.?

As Redwudz says - that is how I do it , if you delete the chapter picture for the second file , it will also be totally seamless/undetectable .

  4. im talking about files that i convert from

    Ex: bin/cue to dvd
    xvid to dvd

i use divxtodvd to convert the avi's to dvd and vcdgear to convert the bin/cue to mpeg then to dvd.

sometimes i get a movie that is 1 file only and that is fine, but either on bin/cue or xvid *when they come in 2 cd's* after i convert each one of those cd's to dvd, i wanted to join them, right after they are in dvd format, to make them 1 dvd file. i heard you can do that with TDA, and wanted to know how. But if you say that all i need to do is add the other one and they will play like that, then i think ill do that instead or should i do the TDA joining process?

If you were using DivxToDVD, you could have put both of the Xvids into it and it would have combined them. If they are BIN/CUE format, you could extract them with ISObuster, then use DivxToDVD and add both of them in and let DivxToDVD combine them. That's the method I generally use.

  6. but what part of the file do i extract,(the one that comes inside the mpegav folder? it gives me a few options to extract, which one should i use, sorry, this is the first time i use isobuster, also... those bin/cue files im talking about not all of them are xvid, some are (bin/cue- vcd/svcd), will isobuster extract an image or something from those vcd/svcd bin/cue files that i could then convert to dvd with divxtodvd?

Using ISOBuster, Click on the MPEGAV folder.
Select all dat files and right click and select Extract but filter only M2F2 Mpg frames.
Save the new file as filename.mpg. It will automatically be converted to a compliant mpg file

For a AVI or Xvid from a ISO image it will show the file and you can just click on it to extract it.

I like ISOBuster because it can extract just about any type of file from a image file; BIN/CUE or ISO and a few other formats.

Either way, you want to end up with the basic MPEG or Xvid files. Then load them into DivxToDVD to combine the videos and process them to DVD.
