  1. I don't know if this belongs here; sorry if it doesn't. After hundred's of good burns, I have this audio problem that is new to me. I downloaded 2 avi files, converted the audio to wav, encoded with MainConcept and merged the mpg files with TMPGEnc Plus. This file played fine on my pc but when burned to DVD and played on my standalone, the video was great but the audio was garbage. I tried TDK, Ridata and Taiyo Yuden (all at 4x) with the same results. The strange thing is that all 3 DVD's play fine on my pc with WMP but not with Nero Showtime. Burning the same files with Nero resulted in a DVD that all players on my pc could play fine but the audio was still shot on my standalone. Downloading a VCD iso image of the same video resulted in a CD that plays fine on my pc but only for about 2 minutes, until the audio craps out, on my TV. My DVD burner and standalone DVD player have no problems and if anyone can explain this, I would appreciate it. Thanks

Define 'garbage'. Personally, I believe any boy band sounds like garbage, but that doesn't really describe any specific audio problem. What is the problem with the audio ?

  3. Me too on the boy bands. It's hard to describe the audio noise. Not a hiss or static sound. Totally garbled, both music and spoken. If someone that didn't know what it was heard it, they wouldn't know it was music and speaking. Thanks for the reply.
