    Hello guys,

Well, here's the thing, I have ten episodes of a tv show totalling 3.4 GB on my hard drive.

I would like to put these on a single dvd and play it on my dvd player but despite having Nero 6 it doesn't seem to have the option to do this. The VCD and SVCD burning options only let you put stuff on CDs and the DVD option only allows certain file types to be used, not including Windows Movie files (which they are).

Is there any software which would allow me to put all the episodes onto one disk, I don't mind the quality being of VCD quality, that's fine and so I need something where the quality can be turned down to that level.

    thanx in advance.

You can do it, but it may not be very viewable. The quality will be very low.

TMPGEnc or most any encoder will work. Use a bitrate calculator from the 'Tools' section to the left. The bitrate may be about 1000 to 1100kbps.

You would be best using 1/2 D1 format to get the best use of the low bitrate. (352 x 480 pixels MPEG2 (From the 'What is' DVD, also to the left)

I would encode a short, maybe five minute section of the video to see the result. The full encode will take a very long time. Also if your video is WMV, you will have to convert that.

  4. Actually, if you you looking just to fit it or a single DVD+/-R as a DVD video - that much you still may get some quality reduction - but here is what I would do:

1.) Leave the files in the same resolution, bit rate exc. that they are (if need be, convert them to a file type that is usable by your authoring prog).

2.) Create your DVD with whatever authoring prog, BUT do not burn the disc! - Instead have the DVD files save to your hard drive.

3.) Run DVDshrink on those files (with that much I would use the deep annalysis option).

4.) Burn the DVD Video files.

    That should do it...

Use more discs. This many hours on a single disc will look like crap regardless of what methods or software you attempt to use.

Unless you are using DL media. That's another story.
