How long has it been running before it shutdown ? (7.3% means nothing - length of time is more important)

Could be overheating, could be premiere.

If you are rendering, I would expect PP to use 99-100% of the CPU, and frankly I'd be pretty pissed off if it didn't. That just means it is utilising your machine fully, and not wasting power. That said, running at that level will make the system run hotter, hence my first point about overheating.

    Simple tests

    1. Next time it shutsdown, start it up and go straight into the bios. From there you should be able to find the CPU temperature. It is debatable exactly how accurate the figure might be, but it is a start. Post the numbers back here.

    2. Pull the covers off the PC and point a stadard desk fan into the case. Leave it running and try to do the render again. See if you get any further.

it overheats because you are maxing out the processor for hours on end. The harder it works the hotter it gets and stays. The heat accumulates in the heatsink and the heatsink/fan can't draw it away fast enough so the temps keep rising until poof! thermal protection shuts you down. My p4 3.06ghz did that and funny you should mention it because i also used a big box fan to keep it cool until my new heatsink came in.

Ultimately though if you intend to do alot of video encoding you should look into getting a better heatsink/fan for your cpu. The stock one just doesn't cut it sometimes. I bought the xp-90 heatsink/fan combo and it dropped my temps at full loads by 30 degrees F!

You may also want to check into getting some good case fans to suck the heat out of your case and keep the ambient temps down if you don't already have good case fans. It will be an initial investment of probably about $40 bucks but could save you loads in the long run.
