    Most interesting of that

    "according to Toshiba. The drive uses a pick-up head with a single optical lens that can read HD-DVD discs and can read and write to CD and DVD discs, the company said."

    and

    "The company is also preparing a write-once HD-DVD-R disc that can store 15GB of data."

    I saw no mention of HDMI output to feed an external HDTV monitor.

    Apparently at the Berlin electronics show a couple of weeks ago, Blu-Ray was everywhere, and HD-DVD was not to be seen in any practical form. They need to start rolling something out or they will have a lot of catching up to do.
