    + Added support for HDTV (.ts &.tp) Transport Streams (1080i and 720p)
    + If produced VIDEO_TS folder is oversized will automatically reduce to fit if you have DVD Shrink installed (see settings)
    + Added custom matrices to the Process settings
    + Added support for Full-D1 PAL to NTSC convertions (with vob2mpg you can now convert existing PAL DVDs to NTSC)
    + Improved menu encoding method.
    + Optional audio menu looping (see settings)
    + Added ImgBurn support for burning (see settings).
    + New clearer progress bar (by popular demand!)
    + Improved subtitle integration (Full DVD output only)
    + Removed dnb_xxx.xml persistance as was causing me a support headache!

    Many bug fixes too!

    Bar major bugs there will now be a code freeze till I get the DEMO version up to speed.
    SVCD2DVD v2.5, AVI/MPEG/HDTV/AviSynth/h264->DVD, PAL->NTSC conversion.

    I suspect it is due to the fact that the files are not reprocessed as they have NAV PACKS. When were they originally processed?

  10. OK, so cool that S2D can use custom matrices. But can anyone point to some matrices we can use with it? Would love to be able to optimize quality for avi conversions.

    Many thanks as usual CB for this great app!

  13. Thanks, I was curious since whilst converting some svcd mpegs to DVD yesterday, noticed the mention of "low bitrate matrice" during the process tracking at the bottom of SVCD2DVD.
    Wondered if their also might be a "high bitrate" matrice in there somewhere.

    The "built in" low birate matrix kicks in when the encoding bitrate is below 3000 to improve quality at these lower bitrates. Of course there are ones which are good for high bitrates too which you could use as a custom matrix.

    somnus initiated the whole custom matrix thrust and seems to know more about it than me! Maybe between us we can collate a list of links to matrices and create a sticky post....

    Man I feel loved!!

    Chris, I've got tons of matrices if you want I'll turn them into the Intra and Nonintra.mtx format in thier own folders and send them over to you. All I've done is add a Matrice folder in the S2D folder and drop them in there. Oh, everyone needs to keep in mind not all matrices are designed for dvd some are specificly made for Divx/Xvid so you may not get the same quality.

    I dont know everything about matrices but am trying to figure out as much as I can, just dont ask me to explain them, it would be easier to explain the meaning of life.

  17. LOL

    If you could, that would be great. Even if it was just one or two that you found improved things for both low & high bitrates, that would be a start,. seeing as how CB accomodated the request to make matrices both useable & selectable.

    @CBC

    I agree I'll put together as many as I can which should be a good amount and I'll check for low bitrate matrices also, the matrix that is included with S2D is pretty good but if anyone wants to try some others they may like more they definitely can. Its usually up to the person which one they like the most or looks best to them.
