I am starting a new iRC channel on Efnet on #covers and I am asking people on different servers If i can distribute all my 10,000 CD covers? All from CD music to Appz, you name it. People say that it is illegal because the covers are also copyrighted, but my debate is, if you own an expensive program, you do have the right to make a copy (backup) of it, and to assure enhancement, most people want to make it look like the real thing but they dont have a scanner, so I wanna help out the ones that have the origianl and download the cover? NOW is that illegal? If you have the godman copy and make a copy, you have all the right to download the cover? anyone disagrees with me plz say so, I will fight this untill I die i swear to god because telling me this is illegal is Bull.... People that dont have a scanner suffer, so therefore help them out... Plus BTW, cant be that illegal, its not the program, and its worth $0.00 cause it has no value, only it adds value to the backup copy you make because I help the person make it look better, any feedback reply thnxs alot, really appreciate it

I think its a noble gesture robin, but the fact remains that it is copyrighted material that belongs to the individual/artist or company. Have you never noticed the c in a circle on each cover? as for it having a $0.00 value, why not ask the graphic designer or the artist who has most likely spent hours/days working on it to produce each cover. They will tell you that it certainly has a value. Its theft and pagerism, and no arguement you can put up will stand in a court of law, sorry dude but you r wrong. p.s why help? there are many cd cover sites on the web, you are not doing anything new!!!
And watch the lawyers, they dont mess around
Welcome my son, welcome to the machine.
