    Hi, I just got a NEC 3540 and wondering which of the firmwares do I get? I want to remove the riplock and have the option of bit-setting.

    I'm using the official 1.03 on mine. You can go here and check out Liggy and Dee's modified Nec 3540 firmwares, they have various flavors. I won't link you to the firmware just the forum.
