Just an FYI for everybody regarding the Sima CT-2, which is used for copying copyrighted tapes & DVDs. It works great while it's working! BUT....
I bought my first one in March. In June, it started cutting off by itself, sometimes right in the middle of recording. I'd have to R&R the power plug to get it working again. Emailed Sima, they said send it back to them. I wrote back, said I use it several times a week, did they have any idea how long it would take to get it back to me? No response at all. I think I know what that means!
Got my hands on another one. It worked great, until about 2 weeks ago. Now, it seems to switch between enhancement modes by itself, while it's in use. What that means is, the screen goes light, then dark, light, dark, light, dark, maybe every 30 seconds, maybe every few minutes.
So... If you can afford $130 for a copy device that only lasts a few months, this is the one. It works great... for a few months.
