hi
I received an email from supermedia store yesterday with this exact title:

I called them and said that .25 taiyo yuden dvd in the subject was referring to 4x tuiyo yuden non-printable ... seems mis-leading to me ... they should have put 4x... and the 4x is not printable. Anyone else get this email from them. I wasted my time on the phone to them ... and they didn't honor their email price that they sent me.
p.s. Any suggestions or similiar problems with supermedia Mis-printing emails to sucker people in. I wouldn't have called supermedia if they had put ..... $0.25 taiyo yuden. 4x dvd-r non-printable.

Yes, I got the e-mail offer from them, but the picture clearly shows the Taiyo Yudens as 4x that have silver tops and a big label around the stack that says "Value DVD-R". There isn't anything that says they are printable, but the next item (in html terms) is Linkyo printables for $.20 apiece in a 100 pack.
Does your e-mail program display pictures, or just the text version? If it's text only, maybe the first two items were run together. That's all I can think of.
I seem to remember someone on this forum saying the "Value" line of Taiyo Yudens were no good (or was it that they were fake?) I don't remember, but I'm pretty sure you don't want $.25 TYs anyways, whether they're printable or not.
EDIT:
I see what you're saying. The subject line is "$0.25 Taiyo Yuden DVD-R. Printable 8X DVD-R $0.2", but the comma between them, and the two prices would (at least to me) infer that they are two separate items. The pictures in the actual message make it more clear. -
I guess if there was a comma or other brand name in subject line saying different brand for 8x I would agree with you. But I see NONE ... only:
"$0.25 Taiyo Yuden DVD-R. Printable 8X DVD-R $0.2"
I called them by phone because I couldn't see where to click for the 0.25 taiyo Uden dvd-r Printable 8x DVD-R's. And the operator looked up the ad and said that it did look like to her .25 Taiyo Yuden DVD-r Printable 8x too ... she checked with someone else and came back on the line and said that company should have put in 4x in subject heading. -

Beyond that, though, is the issue of the run-together text. Even without the "visual separation" (which is no fault of Supermediastore), the advertiser clearly used the proper punctuation to separate the two items.
"$0.25 Taiyo Yuden DVD-R. Printable 8X DVD-R $0.2"
In all fairness, I read the above as this advertiser is offering some Taiyo Yuden discs which can be purchased for 25 cents. And, as a separate item, this advertiser is offering some other printable 8X DVD-R discs which can be purchased for only 2 cents.
The period. Its a beautiful thing.
Just my own opinions,

Yeah, the subject is confusion but at this good price, who care? At least I don't.

Another one, But for TV's..
An Amazon representative said the company adheres to its posted policies but is looking into answering the complaints beyond the automated responses sent to customers.
