I am trying to fit about 160 minutes of DVD quality PAL AVI that was recorded in HDTV. I tried using Digital Media Converter and the results are somewhats pixelated and I can only fit 80 minutes of footage on one DVD. Is there a way to maintain quality and what is approximentaly the best bitrate for this type of length for TMPGE considering that Digital Media Converter does not allow you to change the bitrate?

www.videohelp.com/calc and calculate the bitrate or use just the wizard in tmpgenc.
Or use an all-in-one tool like diko or thefilmmachine or avi2dvd. They support pal to ntsc also.
