    I can get the HDTV mpg files recorded with my Avermedia A180 to play with WMP10, but when trying to convet it to divx, or DVD mpg, I get no audio. Any ideas on how to get it converted?

    I have a short sample clip here:

    Help is greatly appreciated.

    You're right, there's no audio there. What format is the captured audio in the original video and what process did you use to convert the video/audio to your clip?

    If you don't know the audio format, drop the original file into AVIcodec or Gspot and see what it says.

    Actually, that is the original clip. Gspot says:

    (S) --> MPEG-2 Demultiplexer --> AC3Filter --> Morgan Stream Switcher --> (R)

    I can hear audio on that clip when played with WMP10, but not when I play it with PowerDVD. Odd isn't it?

    Sorry, when I looked at it with the latest version of Gspot the AC3 audio showed up. I tried it with VLC player and no audio also, so I don't have the correct setup either. You might try AC3 ACM Decompressor and see how that works. I don't use WMP so I'm not really sure how it handles AC3.

    I tried with TMPGEnc.exe using "simple de-multiplex" it strips out the video just fine, but locks up when it tries the ac3 stream.

    Using "de-multiplex" it says there are three streams:

    padding_stream
    private_stream_1(0x0B)
    video_stream 0x00 Mpeg2 video 1920x1080 29.97fps 14200kbps

    Notice there is no audio stream. Frustrating to say the least.
