  1. A lot of information on the CIS systems but very little on which refillable carts are the best. Searched but nothing lately after people have purchased different brands. Would like to know what's the leading brand now that people have tried different ones. Spongeless?? With Sponge?? Clear Cases, easy to fill, w/resettable chips?? 95%, etc.

    Thanks

  3. I bought from print for less http://mysite.verizon.net/vzeogbtg/ (2 sets) refillables with ink....my use of the printers is moderate to high and refilling is a breeze., the carts are clear and you can see on the top chamber(small line of ink) when you need to refill.
I will not go with cis any more, too many parts to go wrong!
No matter who you buy from - GO WITH REFILLABLES, with arc; clear ones are the best, so you can see how much you have left.
I just got back from vacation and the printer was idle for 10 days, and i just printed 10 disks without a flaw.[/quote]
If you want a printing headache, use CIS on your printer!

  4. Have read a lot of the pages of best CIS (pretty lengthy) but have decided for me, the individual refillable carts would be best. Will give yours a try and intend to purchase the ink from Sam's Club.
Have redirected the drain tube out the back (will attached a bottle when I find the right size), have temporarily wrapped a paper towel around the tube for I don't turn my R300 off but I noticed that it still drains ink out the tube. This might have been just some residue left in the tube from a previous cleaning--don't know for sure right now.
Am planning to detach the tube from the head cleaning pad to the pump as described in this forum, but will have to read a little more on that subject. Seems like a small turnable ball valve would be ideal for this but will have to check for availability of something that small. Don't know if it will be worth the trouble--will wait and see how much ink is wasted in the drain bottle with the R200 on all the time.
    Thanks for all your information.
