  2. Hi-

If I understand correctly what you want, then VobEdit can do the demuxing. See if part 2 of this guide helps:

    http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?p=555936#post555936

The rest of the guide tells you how to put the pieces back together again when you're done editing. I've followed that guide a few times and it works well.

    is almost that

but as i saw in that guide, he only gets a image of the menu than uses it to do a static menu and in the final of the thread there's another guide that "explain" animated menus

but it only says: "Extract the menu with vobedit (.M2V file)"

ok, but..... how do I do that?
its only the thing i dont know how to do

and another problem is that he says: "In this dvd VTS_01_0.VOB is the vob that contains the menu"

How do I know which is the VOB [or which are the VOBs] that contians the menu in my DVD?

    thx for the answer anyway

  4. Hi-

Yes, that guide was written for a static menu where he wants to change one of the screens for the subtitles he's going to add. But the principle is the same even for animated menus. A menu is made up of a number of cells, corresponding to the different menu screens. Some may be animated and some may be still.

So, just follow the instructions for demuxing by Cell ID into Vobs, and find the Vob (animated or still) which you want to demux further into M2V and Audio (AC3, most likely). Then close VobEdit and reopen it. Open the Vob containing the video you want to edit, and at the bottom of VobEdit is a "Demux" button. Alternatively, you can open that Vob in DGIndex, and then go File->Save Project and Demux Video.

How do I know which is the VOB [or which are the VOBs] that contians the menu in my DVD?

Well, the menu is usually in only one VTS_XX_0.VOB, and it will be the largest one, usually the only one with any size greater than 100 KB or so. They may be anywhere from 2 or 3 MB up to many hundreds of MB. You can play them until you find the right one, or you can open them one at a time in DGIndex and scroll around until you find the right one. It's often (but not always) the same VTS as the main movie, but it will be the first one, the one whose last number is "0".

  6. Thank you for reporting back that the advice helped. That makes up for the other times when the advice doesn't help for one reason or another. I'm glad it worked for you.

Your English is excellent, much better than my Portuguese.
