    Hi. i have an cd with avi vidoes that i burnt to a dvd as data and it plays fine in my dvd. i also have another cd with avi file that i burnt to dvd as data but doesnt work in my dvd. is ther something special i have to do to an avi to watch it on dvd? Thank You in advance.

    Yes, you must make it compatible with your DVD player.
    AVI is not a format it's a container and therefore the contents can be formatted many different ways.

    i used vobsub with xvid codec for the avi's that will not work on dvd. should i re encode it with another format? if so, what format and what program. TY guys a lot for reply.
