  1. Hi Everybody!

I currently have a Philips DVP642 and have absolutely loved this machine. It has played nearly every file I have burned to a disc. However, it will not play the HD Xvids with AC3 (5.1) files that I am enthralled with at the moment. The resolution of these files is typically 960x528 or 960x544.

Right now, I am converting every file to DVD format with 720x480 resolution while keeping the 5.1 sound in order to play these files on my Philips player.

Is there a player out there, whether it be a Divx player or some other media player that is supporting this format so all I would have to do is either drop the files onto a disc or hook my computer up to a stand alone mediaplayer without having to re-encode everything?

Thank you so much for any assistance!
    Daisy
