Those of you who live in the southeastern USA know what a Winn Dixie store is. It's a grocery store.
I just went to my local Winn Dixie today and I happened to see a 7-foot-tall stack of Pioneer DVR-225-S DVD recorders behind the customer-service counter with a $199.95 price tag on them.
This seemed strange to see at a Winn Dixie, although I have seen them sell TVs and VCRs there in the past, on occasion.
I don't know if the price on these recorders has come down and may be cheaper than this elsewhere, but the last time I looked at this DVD recorder a couple of months ago, it was about $290-$300 at most places.
I just had to mention this. It seems like a good price, and if you live near a Winn Dixie, it might be worth going there to check it out.

No longer available at Amazon? Hmmm. Maybe they have a bunch of "clearance" DVD recorders that they got from the same place they get their occasional TVs, VCRs and DVD players.
Knowing Winn Dixie, I wouldn't be surprised to see the price come down a little if they don't sell very well for a while.
