Mac the Ripper: extaction as single .vob

Hi all,

I am on Mac the Ripper v.2.6.6 and need to rip a DVD to my hard drive for compression/encoding and backup. Normally this extraction will give me a handful of .vob files on the video_tv folder.

However, I was told that I could extract the disk as single .vob file by enabling the Title/Chapter mode.

I have tried this by selecting "Main feature only" and selecting "enable PNC mode in Title/Chapter mode".

Yet, I am still getting multiple .vob files.

Any ideas what I am doing wrong ?

A Main Feature is multiple titles/chapters. If you seelct a particular chapter, you will get one vob.

I think you can use " Yade X " to extract 1 VOB. I haven't used it in awhile but I remember that if you select save as VOB you get one VOB.

Insert DVD in the drive, launch MacTheRipper and when it finishes with reading the disk click on "Mode" tab...On first drop down menu choose "Title Only Extraction" and on second choose the title with "(MF)" in the name /usually Title 02 (Ang1) ... (MF)/...Then click GO! button....You should get main feature ripped in one big VOB file...

Same job with YadeX:

Put DVD in the drive and launch YadeX...First choose region code for Your country under "RCE Protection" menu...Then select longest Track /longest track in size or in time stamp - thats the movie itself, other tracks are menus and extra/ in YadeX win and choose "Save VOB.." from "File" menu...You should get main feature ripped in one big VOB file...

can select main feature in first drop-menu but i'm unable to click the second drop-menu in the "mode" tab at all. it's inactive.
