I have a copy of DVDXCopy and I have used it to make back up copies of DVD, the problem is that the copies will only play on a computer dvd drive. I first tried +R disks and my DVD player didn't act like it even recognized that there was a disk in it. I then tried -R disks and the dvd player gives a message that says "incorrect disk". I have purchased things that have been copied onto a -R (I didn't make the copy) disk and they have played fine on my dvd player. Any suggestions?

DVDXCOPY is crappy discontinued software. It was never any good. Stupid warning screens and subpar compression quality.

Use DVD Shrink, DVD2ONE, CloneDVD2, DVD-RB, or any number of others that are more up to date.

  5. i'll bet that dvdxcopy wont tear through the latest protection anyhow......best to use dvdshrink and if that fails, use dvdfabdecryptor then use dvdshrink.....but honestly, there's MUCH better programs out now for that purpose....

DVD Shrink, DVD decrypter and DVD Fab Decrypter, all FREE and far superior to the above mentioned programs.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!

  7. I use dvd2one more than dvdshrink and I have to say dvd2one has a far better compression than dvdshrink. When you transcode the larger files dvd2one wins hands down. Im not dissing shrink either. It does a great job on the files that are like 6GB or less. Also its faster than dvd2one so if you have a smaller file to encode go with shrink and the larger it is go with dvd2one. I like both of the the rippers . Use dvd decrypter most of the time and I use DVD Fab Decrypter sparingly. If dvddecrypter doesnt rip it the I use DVD Fab Decrypter.
