I am watching a DVD compilation with music videos by Embrace. Using Videolan for playback, from an external DVD burner, in Win XP.
What startled me is that i can hear the pitch change slightly now and then. It goes down, from what i can hear. I guess it goes up too, but thats not as evident. Sounds as it could be as much as a semitone sometimes.
I didnt think this could happen in the digital domain. Its just as if i'm manually braking a vinyl record on a turntable.
I have searched the forum but couldnt see anything on the subject. So, whats this new phenomenon i'm subject to ?

Could be corrupt files or "skipping" due to bandwidth limitations from an external drive. Try copying the file(s) onto your HD and see if the problem still exists.
