  1. This is what AVIcodec tells me about my source file

    File : 6.75 GB (0.0 B), duration: 0:00:00, type: MPG, 1 audio stream(s), quality: 90 %

    Video : 0.0 B, 7000 Kbps, 25.0 fps, 720*480 (16:9), MPG2 = MPEG 2 (SVCD/DVD), Supported

    Audio : 0.0 B, 384 Kbps, 48000 Hz, 2 channels, 0x51 = Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 [0xc0], Supported

When using tmpgnec 3.0 xpress or plus with their standard dvd templates, the video files created are jerky.

I am running an HP mediacenter computer
    pentium 4 2.8
    1 gig memory
    160 gb hd

Any ideas on what is causing the jerkyness and how to fix it.

    Thanks

This is the problem - 25.0 fps, 720*480. PAL framerate and NTSC resolution, are you trying to re-encode this as NTSC?

  3. Yes, I have made sevveral succesful dvd's using the same method. The only difference is I was using an older version of tmpgnec to make an NYSC dvd with the same type of source file.
