just a Q: is there any difference between CCE 2.62 and 2.50? must be some difference though but i wonder why 2.50 is still so populair with 2.62 around. what does it have to do with it? and what is the advantage of 2.62? plz tell me

  2. CCE 2.62 can't accept a frameserved source (ie. Virtual Dub or AVIsythn) but 2.5 can. So most people use 2.5 for encoding. CCE has no resize or filters so you pretty much have to frameserve to it for most conversions.

From what I've read 2.62 mostly just has bug fixes and optimizations for audio encoding, but since cce's audio quality is pretty poor you shouldnt use it anyway. So since 2.62 is more trouble to frameserve to, its generally not used as much.
