key for QTPro6 work with QT7?

I use QTPro6 as an owner to edit AlchemyDVR files, and have not updated to QT7.

here or MacNN I saw a post that the key to 6 would work in 7 in a round about way? does anyone recall this?

I have Toast 7 and it says on the box it needs QT7. but apple seems to have enough of my $$ if not absolutely necessary

I've never seen that. I have read that you must buy another key, which is what I did. And no, I wasn't happy about it either, but Steve Jobs needs the dough.

rotus, I am in the same boat. For now, Toast 7 sits on my shelf, as QT7
is still too buggy to run with my versions
of FCP and DVDSP. I did try Dan's QT trick to see if
it would enable me to run Toast 7, but the result was CRAPTACLUAR audio, although the video came out great.

so, if you want Toast 7, you gotta buy QT 7.

waa waa terr. I got toast7 from buy.com and it ended up costing me ( us in the usa) -27 dollars with all the offers.

so maybe Ill have to use some of the $ -27 for QT7 there is a back down to 7.01 did you have trouble with 7.02?

should I post the details of the $ -27 at Buy.com as a seperate thread? only this week?

ie list = 100, Buy = 78, get their credit card, use once and cancel if you like:

terr what were the bugs with QT7? I have FC Express but do not use it. never got a good book to understand it.

All I do is edit files from AlchemyDVR and files from my HDTV card.
