  1. I have used my 12" iBook G4 for watching .mpg movies for a long time. I just recently discovered MacTheRipper and was anxious to rip the movies off of all the DVD's I have so I could watch them on my computer. I'm sure I ripped the files correctly, but when it was finished all I got was a folder that contained Video_TS etc. with files inside (.ifo etc.). I was wondering if there was a way I could convert these files to watch on my computer using Quicktime.

Basically I want a way to get my DVD's onto my computer so I can view them. I hope I gave enough info. Thanks.

  2. IMO the best way is to just watch the VIDEO_TS folder via the DVD Player.app. Or watch the VOBs via MPEG Streamclip. This way you can choose the chapters, audio and subtitles you desire.

Sure, you can convert the DVD to .mov with MPEG Streamclip or mp4 (?) with Handbrake but you lose quality in doing so and this also takes a lot of time.

Just fire up DVD Player, the File/Open-VIDEO_TS and
    point to the MTR output.
