  3. whats the fastest way to record an xvid to dvd
Play Xvid with a TV/Video Out Card into a DVD Recorder. (Real Time). Or get a Divx/Xvid DVD player and just burn as Data.

    That's actually pretty normal.

It was re convert your Xvid which who knows where it is even DVD resolution or not. It takes hours to do that. Then you end up with a not perfect looking final DVD anyway. It is commercially available I would simply buy it. If it is not, the you have to put up with hours of processing. Read the guides for avi to dvd convertion and you'll be amazed.

Yoou can also try to use VSO DivxToDVD which will convert yout avi Divx and maybe even Xvid to dvd. No menus just a simple convertion which you can then burn with nero. It will take a good hour to hour and a half on a good fast machine.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!
