  1. cb,
thanks for your help last week. things are working great. some more questions.
i know windows movie maker is a very simple program but i have alot of short home movies made last year saved as wmv files. anyway, i realize that svcd2dvd does not recognize wmv extensions. can this be changed or is there something about the file that doesnt allow your program to recognize it. i have made solutions for this by using TMPEG to reencode the file to a svcd mpg2 then using your program. I'm just trying to see if i can save some more time. Thanks in advance.

In theory yes. But in my testing most wmv files i have tested don't give good results. this is due to the inability to detect the framerate (but i'm sure i could resolve this) but also the non standard (DVD) resolutions which most wmv exhibit.

So in short, it would take a fair bit more effort than just allowing the extension. I will however try to include support for wmv in the future.

  3. In the meantime I have used TMPGenc and WinAvi to convert WMVs to
MPG. WinAvi is quicker to use if you want to run a batch convert.
