I've been using nero and Tmpg dvd author and I want to have a second audio track on a vacation video, I'd like to have the main audio just the normal audio and on the second track me talking about the trip.

But I can't seem to find a cheap easy to use program that lets me do this. I may never do this again so why should I want to spend 200 to 300 dollars on software to do it.

DVD-Lab will take care of this. Demo version avaialble to download should see you through this project.
Either the Pro or Studio Versions will support 2 audio tracks.

Trust me when I say its worth spending the money on.

You will of course have to record the audio. Plenty of options in the tools section.

If you want to be really cheap, just spend 40 cents and do a 2nd disk with the 2nd audio track.

Do you want to mix the two tracks so they both play at the same time or do you want to author a DVD with a second, selectable, audio track? If you just want to mix two tracks so your narration is played over the original soundtrack, even Windows Movie Maker 2 can do this. Download it for free from the Microsoft website.

I must be doing something wrong with muxman. I enter the two soundtracks, dealing with a normal audio and then a directors comments, but only one is there after the remuxing. Also the subtitles aren't there either even though I follow the steps (I think) Is this the difference between free and purchased versions?

  10. No. The diference is that the "purchased" version can make multiple titles (free can make only one title). When you are adding the first audio track new window will open were you can add another track. YOU MUST CLOSE THIS WINDOW ADDING NOTHING THERE. Then you add the second audio in the main window.
What you are using to preview the folder with authored .vob files (muxman output folder)? I am using almost always Media Player Classic, simply dragging and droping the folder in it. Then you can switch the second audio and/or subtitles.
