  2. Um... why don't you make your own?

You can use both Nero and CDMotion to create a VCD disc image containing the bacground images you want. Then, use VCDXRIP to extract the mpeg stills and use it in your own project with VCDImager.

If you are using Nero, WinOnCD or VideoPack4 for authoring, then you simply only need a bitmap or jpeg of the background you want to use.

  3. I actually take screen shots of whatever I'm encoding and use it for the background in my VCDs. I just load it up in Vdub and copy to clipboard and paste to whatever proggie either Flash or Photoshop. (I know, Flash is a vector graphics program, but sometimes it's less a pain then Photoshop.)

  4. Good idea gambit32.

BTW, you can also use the menus of DVDs as well... If you use your DVD ripper to rip then entire DVD in "File Mode", then you access these nice extras. Menus are usually in the VTS_??_0.VOB files. If you load them up direct with FlaskMPEG, you can write them as a short AVI file and then use VirtualDub to copy frames for background images.
