  1. Hi, I tried downloading Windows Media Player for but it downloaded as an application with the extention .sitx which my Mac doesn't recognize what should I open it with? Or what should I get so it will be recognized? The same issue happens with .sit files.

My second issue is with video torrents. I don't kno anything about them. Can anyone tell me how to open them etc.

Ok, first go to Stuffit's Home Page
and download the FREE Stuffit Expander 9.02 for Mac OS X.
That will take care of your .sitx ( stuffit archives) problems.
.sit also refers to Stuffit Archives, the "x" at the end denotes
that these can be opened by legacy versions of the Mac OS,
while the non "x" versions are for the current model
    of the Expander.

Second, for Torrents---Torrents is a touchy subject around here,
and can be considered by some ( many) to be warez.
I will only point you out to a starting place to learn about
the GENERAL use of torrents, which would be the
    Creators Home Page.
It takes a bit of a learning curve but read away.....
