I am trying to choose between a Samsung VR320 and the JVC MV5S. I didnt't want start a new thread because I just have a simple question. I downloaded the manual and the back view shows the inputs. The S-Video input and output show they are for DVD and the manual on pg 12 says for DVD Only. However on pg 17 on the bottom left it says if you have an S-Video input you can use it and obtain high quality S-VHS pictures.
So my question is, can the S-Video output be used for watching VHS and can the S-Video input be used for recording to VHS (if I ever need to do that). The Samsung manual does not say the S-Video is for DVD only. But the FR feature on the JVC seems very nice.
